WHAT IS APPALACHIAN DANCE?
From square dance origins, appalachian has developed into a form of tap dance with group formations and interaction between the dancers. Although it'd often known as "clogging", we don't wear clogs.
It's fun. It's full of rhythm and if you love blue grass or Celtic music, it's for you. We mostly dance to recorded music but are always on the lookout for enthusiastic fiddle, banjo, guitar or accordion players.

PERFORMANCES
Tiger Feet Appalachian Dancers are based in Cardiff, South Wales but often travel for a gig!
We have fun and love to entertain and our performances can last from 5 mins to half an hour. We try to be true to traditional Appalachian steps and style (Deliverance eat your heart out!). Robin our choreographer, works out all our routines and keeps us on our toes, literally!
We dance in all kinds of places including:
- open air folk festivals
- theatre-based dance shows
- in the pouring rain, in blazing sunshine
- at the Eisteddfod
- outside pubs
- at parties etc
- basically, you ask, we dance!
